The Lawyers Indemnity Fund is owned and operated by the Law Society of BC and provides coverage to all lawyers engaged in private practice and some in-house counsel in British Columbia. It has over $190 million dollars in assets, an annual budget of $22 million and manages approximately 1,000 reports of claims and potential claims against lawyers each year.
